All About Spiritual Health & Fitness

What is “Spiritual Fitness Training?” Spiritual fitness training is spiritual exercise or training in godliness (godlike, godly character, how to be good like God who is good, adhering to God’s laws and ways of doing things). It is “proper” training, refining you to make you “fine” or excellent. It helps you “Biggie-size” the inside so you can “Biggie-size” your outside life.

Just as you need to eat a proper diet and get plenty of rest and exercise to maintain your physical body for optimal efficiency, you also need to give the same care and attention to your inner man, or spirit man. If you don’t eat, you don’t grow.

Trainers for Your Inner Man

It’s no secret that we are created Body, Soul, and Spirit. We just don’t understand the two members we can’t see — our Soul and Spirit. Spiritual fitness training breaks it down so you can easily identify which one to listen to and which one not to listen to, helping you make smarter decisions, not foolish ones. An easy way to remember it is:

  • Body (Me) – For the part you can see
  • Soul (My Self) – For the selfish part of me (mind, will, and emotions)
  • Spirit (I) – For I Am, the part created in God’s image

We hire personal trainers to help us reach our fitness goals. They help us identify areas that need improvement, and create a workout plan to target those problem areas. They help keep us focused on our target so we can reach our destination. Likewise, we are here to help you become Bigger, Faster, Stronger, and Wiser on the inside. To see the changes you desire on the outside, you must first make changes on the inside. We will be with you every step of the way guiding, encouraging, helping you stay focused. You will become:

  • Bigger – than your giants instead of letting your problems intimidate and defeat you.
  • Faster – Quick on the draw with the Word of God to counter your enemy’s attacks.
  • Stronger – than your Soul, to keep your thoughts, desires, emotions, attitudes, and mouth in line, and to be able to resist temptation.
  • Wiser – than your opponent, so you are not caught off sides and the penalty is on you; and to be able to recognize his strategies and not be deceived by him.
